This was taken just after getting out of the ER on April 21st - perhaps I was trying to convince myself I was in good shape - they said all my labs looked good and that there were no unresulted tests (in fact there were pending cultures - of which I was supposed to be on IV Anti-biotics until the results came back -- the result came back positive and I was never told - 6 weeks later developing sepsis nearly losing my whole leg - even at that time they never informed me of the early April culture result. I post the photo to counter their narrative that I was not taking care of myself or compliant with any instructions -- I was trying despite my faults to improve my health - and though I am just in average shape I had begun exercising in January 2017 and was making progress in all areas of my life - including diet and exercise --unfortunately I took their advice about getting orthotic shoes which caused blisters which when became infected in 2 of the toes after some bad luck -- they refused to ever dconsider infection despite a positive result. I am trying to return to good shape but it has taken 3 years to begin to get over the emotional burden -- and I have to do everything now on 3 toes!
